Chia seeds, a "new" super food with a long history, are extremely high in Omega-3 fatty acids and are loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber. They can be eaten raw but other fine options are to sprinkle them as a nutty accent atop fresh baked goods such as breads, cakes and muffins or to grind them for use in such.
