Our Policies


Our goal is to provide all of our customers with prompt service and a smooth, problem-free shopping experience. Usually, orders are shipped from our website sales room the same or next business day after the order is placed. Shipping methods we use include UPS Ground and USPS Priority Mail for a package transit time of 1-7 business days, depending on the ship-to zip code. Any orders using free shipping will not be shipped in multiple packages if there is an out of stock item on the order.


We ship only to the 50 United States and APO/FPO. Shipping to Canada is considered on a case-by-case basis. The Estimate Tax & Shipping calculator, found on the Shopping Cart page, allows you to view the rates for each available shipping method without needing to enter your billing information first.


We stand behind our products 100%. If you are not completely satisfied with our products, please contact us immediately and we will respond to your concern as soon as possible.


We make every attempt to package your order to avoid damage; however, when shipping glass products via a parcel service, damage can occur. If you receive any product that has been damaged in shipping, please notify us immediately and we will replace the damaged product. DO NOT consume any product if its glass jar is broken or cracked - rather, discard it.


We work with a local Lancaster-area marketing agency for blog and social media content. We also partner with numerous food reviewers & bloggers across the country who write articles on our behalf. Content on our blog is not necessarily original with Kauffman's.


We respect your privacy and security and appreciate you doing business with us. Your email address will never be sold, rented, or shared with any other company. You will not receive unwanted advertisements as a result of sharing your email address with us. Your email address (as entered during checkout) is used simply to communicate with you about your website order(s).


We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to protect your credit card information. SSL is an industry standard protection that protects your credit card transaction by encrypting it.


Our bulk food products are sold by weight (i.e. "2.4 lb."), not volume (i.e. "pint bag"), and are packaged in random weight packages (i.e. 5 different pint bags of brown sugar will all be slightly different weights). You will probably not receive the exact amount of an individual bulk food item that you order - however, it will be very close. We adjust the weights and prices in the sales order based on the actual weight of the items in your package. Therefore, the final charge to your credit card may change slightly from the total shown at checkout; typically, it is a bit lower than the price at checkout, but it is never higher. We use an automated barcode system to help ensure every order is packed and shipped accurately.
