Well, the name pretty much says it all! One of the reasons for that is because these local specialties are always cooked in lard rather than in vegetable oils. We've sold, and enjoyed (!) Good's extra-good potato chips for a long, long time.
We placed two nut butter machines into our market in the summer of 2008 and began offering fresh-ground peanut butter (choice of all-natural or honey roasted). Sales (especially repeat ones) have been gratifying as well as growing steadily! More recently we have added three more choices that just may make your mouth water! And don't miss trying free samples that are always available the next time you stop in at our market.
These are made by a
Mennonite family right here in the
PA Dutch Country (almost all are all natural with no salt, coloring or preservatives added) and the old-time goodness is evident in every bite. You'll want to try various selections here!
Here's another outstanding local business with a long (over fifty years of producing great potato chips) history! Their dedication to quality and commitment to excellence is showing up nicely, isn't it?
Martin's Pretzel Bakery, a vintage Lancaster County establishment, makes pretzels exactly as they have for over sixty-five years ( rolling and twisting by hand that is) when an uncle of the current owners began production in a barn! That slow process, cumbersome as it may be, makes for a unique homemade flavor not found in machine-made pretzels. An added bonus-they are fat-free.
If you've been to our area you already know that Lancaster County pretty much majors on producing the very best potato chips and (especially) pretzels-you'll find such bakeries scattered here and there throughout our countryside. We're pleased to offer this selection of great products-doesn't it it look like we combed the area rather well?
You'll love the unique taste of Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer, whether the great taste takes you back to your childhood, or is making a memorable first impression. What will be more refreshing then enjoyment of these soda classics?
The
Sturgis family has been baking pretzels since 1861 when
Julius Sturgis founded the first commercial pretzel bakery in America. Five generations of pretzel baking has made these folks the "First Family of Pretzels." We haven't met anyone lately who doesn't enjoy
Tom Sturgis Pretzels!
